Domain Names
To view your website, you need a domain name.
A domain name can simply be your business name or personal name followed by a TLD or Top Level Domain (ie. tdwebdesign.ca).
A TLD can be .COM, .CA, .NET, .ORG, just to name a few.
Your domain name cost is usually about $20 per year, but it depends on the profile ranking of your Domain Name.
Web Hosting
Now of course, your website needs a home. A web hosting account provides you with a place to store your website. When someone enters your Domain Name into a web browser, your website is sent from the hosting account to the browser. Hosting accounts can vary, depending on your needs. If you just need a simple web page that does not change on a regular basis, you just need simple hosting. If your site has content that will be changing frequently, such as an online store, photo gallery, comment section or forum, you need server-side scripting enabled, such as PhP and a Database such as MySQL.

Unfortunately, it can be difficult to determine the true value or cost to build a website. Every client or business will have different needs. We try to make our prices fair for everyone, but in order to accurately price a website, we may need to set up a meeting to discuss, in detail, what you as the client would like to see on your website.
